The image above shows the assembly of the drivetrain main body of the prototype F-SAE USB #115. The main objective of this project was to re-design key components of the system in order to increase reliability and reduce the weight of components while maintaining manufacturing costs.
I was the head supervisor of the design and manufacturing processes of the drivetrain system.
Mainly I was in charge of the design of the differential mountings, drive ratios and adaptation measurements of the whole system.
We reduced the weight of the system by 18%, solved the reliability problem and increased the serviceability of the system.
